Dear List

The answer to my question at the bottom of this e-mail has probably been
given many times. However, I wasn't ready to hear it before. So here's
another request.

My ancestor’s parents are John & Sarah (HOPKIN) DAVIES.  They were married
in Llangyfelach on 10 October 1813.  Family records list their children as
follows: Mary b. 16 Mar 1816; Margaret b. 1820; John Jr. b. 1821; Ann(e)
chr. 8 Feb 1823; Ruth b. 7 Feb 1825; Sarah (Ellen) b. 1826 or 1829; Rachel
b. 1829 or 1830; Amelia b. 20 Dec. 1832; Charlotte b. 11 Jul 1834; Eleanor
(Elinor) b. 13 Aug 1835.  According to family and census records, they were
from Llangyfelach—Gorseinon in particular.  After looking for but not
finding birth information among the parish records, it was suggested they
may have been non-conformists.  Could anyone give me ideas as to which
churches would be likely possibilities for people living in that area in the
early to mid-1800’s?

Thanks for your help.

JoLynn Barneck
