Subject: [WW1] Certificate of Service
Date: Thu, 2 Nov 2000 08:58:01 +1000
I have a copy of my husbands fathers (original in his sisters hands)
Certificate of Service with the Royal Navy 1918 - 1922. The original is
written on a cloth based material.
If I were to apply for a copy of service for this man would I get a copy of
a different document, provided they survived, or is this the extent of the
documentation.
It gives his name and number
where he lived
where he served,
his trade
his religion
his next of kin and address
the medals he got
his description
ships he served in and the dates.
This to me seems to be a full account of his activities during the 1st
world war.
Any help would be lovely.
Many thanks
Regards
