Alan,

Since the careers of the Royal Marine Light Infantry were not managed by
the War Office, the deaths of Royal Marines were not included in the War
Office Deaths Notices for publication in the national and local press - the
source for the "Soldiers Died" books and the CD-ROM.

I believe that there was a Royal Navy "Roll of Honour" publication, but I
cannot find details in my notes.

I assume that you have tried the CWGC "Debt of Honour Register" searchable
database on their web site, started in November 1998, allows on-line
searches by Surname and Initial(s), War or year of death, service and
nationality. The "Debt of Honour Register" opening search page can be found
at: http://yard.ccta.gov.uk/cwgc/register.nsf/searchpage?openform

Yours aye,
