Hi All
My name is Pam Pinkerton, live in Oz and am new to this list, and am hoping to understand a little of what my grandfather's life was like in England during the war.

He was a driver with the 34th battalion, Australia Imperial Forces.
I know at one stage he was at Harefield Hospital, I don't know if he was a patient or helping out there, but I have photos of Harefield Staff Hut.

My query at this moment:
he sent a postcard back to Australia addressed to his mother from Lark Hill, Salisbury Plains.
Could someone please tell me where Salisbury Plains is, and is Lark Hill the name of an establishment or a town.
If possible, I would like to know about Salisbury Plains.

Thank you
Pam Qld Oz
