Sorry, Jane, I can't help with the photo, but just possibly with Rhodes'
death, although you may have already tried looking in the usual ("civilian")
deaths indexes.

Have you considered the possibility that he could, perhaps, have already
been discharged from the Army, perhaps due to wounds, and died "At Home". If
that were the case the CWGC would not necessarily know about him.
