Of my grandfather I know only that he grew up in Surrey, England, joined the British army before or early in the war and served for most or all of the war in India, possibly training Gurkha soldiers. I have a photo of him in uniform with his writing on the back of the photo 'Lce-Cpl G Lane, March 1915, Naini Tal, India'. Can anyone tell me which British army unit was stationed at Naini Tal in March 1915, please?
