Hello All
After my visit to the PRO I was only able to find one document,
"burnt",concerning my
Grandfather which was included with his son's documents.
WHITTAKER R.E Spr WR/323842
Hanson do 303011
My Grandfather was too old for active service but managed to
enlist. I have a picture of him in Uniform he has the Northumberland
Fusiliers Badge on his cap and his collar dogs are a pick and rifle crossed.
I also have two photographs of him taken at Leyburn, North Yorkshire. He
never left England but he did received the British Medal RE/104AZ Page 332.
I have very little information regarding his war service if any one is able
to help me with the above I would be most grateful.
Regards Carol
