Alas Tom I cannot help with positive data which is a great shame for you
help so many others that it is unfortunate that your own query goes
unanswered. I have a 'complete' copy of 'all' the QOCH DCM citations but
there is not one for Charles Neaves Robertson. I notice that both your
suspect battalions were 15 Division. That unit had a very good history, "The
Fifteenth (Scottish) Division 1914-1919" (alas I do not have a copy) written
by Lt/Col J Stewart & John Buchan; published by William Blackwood & Sons in
1926. It has detailed appendices including honours & awards. Good hunting.

Foot) during WWI, other than RW Walker's lists ? - I'm looking for one that
may have "slipped through the net" and not made it to the London Gazette -
either that or the man's demobilisation certificate has been tampered with
(!?)

the award is reputedly a 1918 one - his service medal records check-out ok.
