To Thomas (bwarchivist), Iain and all those who have helped me.
Thank you all very much for providing me with the wonderful information on my great uncle Ernest Francis Hamilton who served with the Black Watch as CSM.
In between uni studies and working I have been bit by bit putting My GUncs history together. To date
He was born in 1878 to Frank Claude (Francis) Hamilton (who was with the Hussars)
What I have just found is that he married Annie Gertrude Shelton on 26 December 1903 in Essex.
He was killed in action on the 27 September 1915
I am hoping once again you may be able to assist me in the search of any children to that marriage. I have not had any luck in my research. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Is there anyway I can find out what his movements were in England - maybe the children were born where he was stationed.
Regards
Trudy
