I have decided to make this list come back to life after a period of rest. Hope to make this a place where Reeb descendants...irregardless of their current sur-name but who whose ancestors who came from the old Nassau-Saarwerden countdom or in present day known as the western most portion of Bas-Rhin, France and often referred to by some as the Keskastel Reebs, can post and read for the purpose of discussing and simply conversing about our Reeb ancestry. This includes the descendants of Gustavus Reeb who had four sons to immigrate to colonial Pennsylvania and who are commonly known by their descendants as RAPE, REAP, REPH, RAPH and many other similar spelled or pronounced names such as Rappe, Rapp, etc. Also this list is for other Reeb descendants who came to this country...from the towns of Keskastel, Herbitzheim, Voellerdingen, Rimsdorf, and even Ranspach in Haut-Rhin. All the above are proven through documentation and DNA studies to have a common ancestor early in time.!
We are
lucky, in my opinion, to be able to document our lineage back in time to ancestors who lived as early as late 1500s and have evidence of earlier Reeb ancestors in the same area as early as the late 1400s.
At this time I am not certain anyone will be receiving this since the list has been inactive since before the Reeb Families Association began. If any one does receive this post please let me know with a post to this list:
