Aileen,
Here, here to your message about John V. Reeb. I couldn't get past by Henry
Harrison Raph as he was listed as a Rape in the 1850 Census living as an
orphan with another family. John V. Reeb had located my Henry (and siblings)
and helped me immensly! Without John's work I would still be looking for the
Raph records instead of enjoying this association with my Reeb cousins.
Aileen, the latest three generations of your line is new to me. Would you
mind sending us the names of the spouses for Mary Baker, Margie Greer and
yourself?
Your 6th cousin,
Harlan M. Zeinstra

My name is Aileen Greer Norris, I live in Rock Hill, York County, SC; not
far from the Union County area where my Rape leads. My lineage follows John
V. Reeb's in that our direct ancestors were brothers Archibald and John
Rape.

Margie Baker Greer (my Little Mama)
Mary Armentha "Minnie" Rape Baker (my grandmother)
Henry R. Rape (my great grandfather)
John Rape (my great great grandfather)
Johann Peter (Reeb) Rape (my 3rd great grandfather)

It was not until I met John V. Reeb that I was able to get beyond Henry R.
Rape. I knew he was from the Monroe, Union County area of North Carolina but
that was as far as I could get. My mother was the youngest child for her
mother who was the youngest child of Henry R. Rape; he died when she was
eight year of age; the family just did not know anything about him. But John
V. Reeb had the whole family line but did not have Henry R. Rape's
descendants. He had found my great grandfather in the courthouse records of
the orphans court in Lancaster County, SC. Right here in my back yard! I
will forever be grateful to John for all his help and encouragement.
