Hi Marek,
as far as I know the barons v. Speidel came from Wuerttemberg. South in
Germany and west of Bavaria. The family is listed in the German GOTHA
and in Kneschkes Adels-Lexikon. Are you looking for something special?
Do you know a first name and a birth date?
Speidel is not mentioned in the list of noble landowners from Poznan
area around 1900.
The military ranking list of Prussia (1914) lists a Lieutnant Speidel
from the IR 128 in Danzig/Gdansk. Dr. Hans Speidel (without the 'von')
was General-Lieutnant and Chief of Staff from Rommels Army Group B in
the time of D-day. Later on he became a prisoner because he was a member
of the Resistance against Hitler.
