My Father insisted on keeping Peacocks and hens as it reminded him of home.
He said that they had them roaming the grounds. Therefore in the area of Poland
he came from it must have been possible to rear Pea Fowl. He was also able to
encourage the Peacocks to raise their plumage by imitating their call using a
piece of grass held between both thumbs and blowing into the gap between.
