.My sincere apology to anyone who may have been offended by my message.
Was just an idea. The gravestone and other projects are great but hope
the documented 'history' doesn't go away.

My thanks to all for offers of assistance. I've not connected w/anyone
researching my families, but haven't given up hope.
I'll be unsubscribing from the list for awhile. Good luck in your
endeavors.

Hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but for what it's worth, I took
note of the following sentence in the subject msg.... "Many of the
members that did this work are <elderly> and a new generation has not
come forward."---------------------how about getting our young people
interested in preserving not only the past, but their own some-day past
(happening today).------------------

The disbandment of the Henry County Genealogical Society should have
little or no effect on the IaGenWeb Project. They have never cooperated
with us. A few individuals in the area have contributed data over the
years which has been welcomed. I believe people in Henry County have
occasionally responded to the mailing list or the Message Boards and
those are still intact and available for use as always. Everyone can
help by posting their gravestone photos on http://iowagravestones.org or
by posting obituaries on the Message Boards.
One lady who did try to help with research in the past and had to stop
because of family needs. We have not had the HCGS address on the website
for some time.
Your coordinator will be 70 next month and quite frankly, I do feel a
bit elderly right now because of a persistent flu bug that doesn't want
to leave my house. Norma
