A cousin sent me dome information on John F. Lehner. b: 1836, d: 1868 in Dubque Co. he married Margaret Wenesse on 21 Mar 1861. I see the marriage on the Dubque marriage index ( thanks a bunch to the indvidual(s) for such time consuming dedication ) in Book 2. When John F. died Margaret remarried a Fred SCHRADE, date unknown, and from this marriage two girls where born Christine and Lizzie. I will have to guess 1870's births. Marg and John's children where John L. Lehner ( 1866 - 1932 ) whom married Alice McCartney over here in Plymouth Co., Louis Lehner who slaso moved west her to this county, Emma Lehner whom married a CROSTON ( cousin to Alice McCartney ) they relocated here in Plymouth and then Fred Lehner..who I do not know to much about yet. All the LEHNER kids where born in Dubque Co.... My hope is someone can see the family on State Census year of 1865. 1860 is to early and I have hunted 1870 census with no luck.
