Margaret,
I have a book called Legends, Letters and Lies..........Readings on the
Spirit Lake Massacre of 1857............really an interesting book about
that time.

I have just browsed the book......there is a section called The Victims
of the Spirit Lake Massacre. And, yes they do list some names.

What is the name of your gr grandmother's father. I will check this for
you.

This book is written by Mary Hawker Bakeman.

Is anyone on the list farmilar with the Great Massacre of Spirit Lake?
I am needing to know if there is a list of those that lost their lives
during the massacre.
My great grandmother was there, barely escaped. I was told that her
father stayed behind to fight but lost his life. I was wanting proof
if he did or did not die there.
Margaret
