Hello Glen,
The National School registers are quite good, but mainly if the subject is
Roman Catholic. ....your Capt.Peter Lambert would have been Protestant, as
no Catholic could have held a Commission in those days. (Also Athenry is in
Southern Ireland, so you should be looking to the records in Dublin). Have
you tried the Army records....they are excelent if you have any idea of the
Regt. Also with a name like that you should do some good with Griffiths and
in particular the Deeds.
