8. Josh Sheridan WINN, b 26 Nov 1863; d 24 Jan 1940. Graduated West
Point class of 1888; 2nd Cav of the USA; In WW rose to Brigadier
General, 3rd Division at St. Mihiel and 4th Army Div in France in
Meuse-Argonne offenside; Md. Grace LeGROW, d/o Asa Stanley and Helen
(STURGIS) LeGROW on 18 Oct 1890. She from Walla Walla, WA; md Colorado
Springs. Children:
1. Helen Sturgis b 14 Jan 1894; md Major Francis Robert HUNTER,
US Army 20 May 1914. Children:
1. Grace LeGrow HUNTER b 18 Apr 1921
2. Francis HUNTER Jr b 26 Dec 1927.
2. Katherine WINN b 16 Jan 1896; md Dr. Douglas Wiltz McENERY
who was Surgeon Major in US Army on 12 Oct 1921. Children:
1. John Winn McENERY b 30 Dec 1925.
2. Carolyn Douglas McENERY, b 8 Oct 1928.
3. John Sheridan WINN Jr b 18 Dec 1898, graduated West Point
1918; served as Lt. Colonel; md Virginia JOUETT, d/o Edward
Stockton and Annie (ECTON) JOUETT on 21 Nov 1920. No
children. Buried National Cemetery, West Point Academy.
4. Stanley LeGrow WINN b 2 June 1904; d 3 Apr 1921 at West
Point, NY. Buried National Cemetery at West Point Academy.

s/o Claiborne and Esther (HAMPTON) LISLE on 28 Apr 1886.

10. Walter Scott WINN b 15 May 1869; educated Transylvania College
at Lexington, KY and Lehigh U in PA; civil engineer; md 12 Sept
1894 Lena Leota McDERMOTT, d/o Thomas Handy and Anna
(KIRKPATRICK) McDERMOTT who was b 7 Oct 1869. They were
killed in an auto accident near Winston-Salem NC 31 May 1941.

Ellington PARKER who was b 18 Nov 1891. Children:
