Subject: [KYBARREN] Local DAR chapter, Glasgow KY help please?
Date: Thu, 9 Sep 1999 12:31:58 EDT
I am puzzled about the Revolutionary War monument in a Glasgow cemetary to
Augustine Berry. In the cemetary book (and also in real life, I have been
told) the monument says:
Mar. 9, 1755.......Sep. 6, 1834......S.C. Troops, died in KY
What documents is the above info based on?
I only know of two Augustine Berrys in Barren Co during this time period.
One who died in Barren Co KY by 1811 (court records prove this), and his son
Augustine Berry Jr b 1795-1805, too young for the Rev War, and leaving a will
in Henry Co TN written August 1842, proven Sept same year.
Any help appreciated.
