Am new to this county's list and am leaving Raleigh this week for a trip
to the Midwest doing research in KY and IL. My husband's family has
been traced to Barren Co. and we wonder what public records and years
are available at the courthouse or what type of genealogy collection the
library may have. We stopped at the courthouse in 1998 and the
courthouse was under renovation and all the records were stored at some
other location, as I remember unavailable to the public. Are they
available now, or should we do our research at the KY History building
in Frankfort?

He is looking for information on MALINDA EDWARDS (born abt. 1832 - ?)
who married JAMES LINDER (born abt. 1825 - ?) in Barren co., KY on April
28, 1847. He thinks Malinda is the daughter of ISAAC EDWARDS (abt. 1798
- ?) and NANCY TANNER (1797 - ?) who were married in Barren Co., KY on
November 18, 1815 and is looking for confirmation that Malinda is in
fact their daughter. Malinda had two sisters, MARY JANE EDWARDS and
LIDIAN EDWARDS. Malinda’s mother, Nancy, is the daughter of FREDERICK
TANNER (1770-1845). He believes Malinda also had three brothers, one
being JESSE P. EDWARDS. Confirmation of this fact, also, would be
helpful in his research.

Any information or names of someone who could steer us in the right
direction would be greatly appreciated.
