The Metcalfe Co Historical Society, via Kay Harbison, the prez, asked if I
might consider publishing this on the list and I heartily agreed. I've seen
the book, I indexed same for them.

The Society began in 1992, with the help of the Kentucky Bicentennial
Committee, to collect histories of the various churches in Metcalfe Co,
past and present. Their new book, "Metcalfe County Church Histories" is now
at the publishers and will be available December 1, 1999. It contains
histories of the most active churches presently in the county, wirtten by
an individual from the church or those in possession of records of the
church - thus content will vary.

The book will be hard bound, approximately 300 pages, contains 82 pictures
of churches and people, plus a full name index. The cost of the book will
be $25.00 (including sales tax) plus $4.00 shipping and handling.
Preordered books will also be available at the Metcalfe County Public
Library on Dec 2nd and 4th only.

The book contains lists of members, church officials and histories.

The check should be made payable to the Metcalfe Co Historical Society, Box
910, Edmonton, KY 42129 and may be pre-ordered at this time.
