Anyone have any information on the following? John Spencer was 56 years old
and was born in Ky according to the 1850 census of Breckinridge county, Ky
when this will was written.
JOHN SPENCER WILL-- WRITTEN BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, KENTUCKY JULY 1850.
I, John Spencer of the county of Breckinridge and state of Kentucky being of
sound mind and memory to my wife CHRISTIANA At the death of my wife
property of all kind .
What is Christians maiden name?
It is my desire that PATSY NICHOLS, sometimes-called PATSY MCCLELAND, shall,
if she chooses to remain with my wife, be supported by my said wife as long
as they both live
To my brother SAMUEL SPENCER one share of my estate
To my brother WILLIAM SPENCER one share of my estate
To my brother ROBERT SPENCER one share of my estate
To my brother JOSIAH SPENCER one share of my estate
To my brother JAMES one share of my estate He is also to have the privilege
if he chooses to do so, to live on the place where he now lives, but it is
left to his own choice.
To the children of BARNEY FRAIZE viz-JOHN FRAIZE, MARY FRAIZE, WILLIAM
FRAIZE AND JANE FRAIZE one share-to be divided as follows, WILLIAM FRAIZE
who is now and has been for some time living with me one half of said share
and the other half to be equally divided between the other children of the
said Barney Fraize
To my executors hereinafter named one share for the sole and exclusive use
and benefit of ELIZA FRAIZE wife of DAVID FRAIZE free from the debts and
control of her husband permitting said Eliza to use occupy enjoy the same
(land she is residing on) during her life and at her death, this and what
may be left of the other share of my estate to pay and discard to her
children

BARBARA MATTINGLY wife of WILLIAM MATTINGLY (Barb is a half sister, their
father, MICHAEL SPENCER married HANNA MATTINGLY according to Cooks Marriage
Bond
book on July 7, 1815. I do not have proof of Michael being the father of
these Spencers.
Executors listed in 1850 were WILLIAM CANNON, JOHN HORREL and JOHN H.
DAILEY.
