I am trying to establish my James Ingram in
Breckinridge Co., KY. I wrote to the Archives and
received the following.
I have updated the previous document from Hawkins Co,
Tn. and have also included.
dianne ingram in oregon.

James Ingram nominates and appoints John Miller of
Hawkins County, Tennessee his true a lawful attorney
in fact to sell the tract of land that Ingram had
bought of John Gabriel on Beech Creek in Hawkins
County. April 20, 1818. Certified and recorded April
20, 1818





Hawkins Co. Records Book 10 Pg. 93 filed under year
1821

Know all men by these present that I, James Ingram of
Brackenridge County State of
KY for divers goods and consideration me hereunto
moving have made ordained ,authorized, nominated and
by these presents do make ordain authorize nominate &

appoint John Miller of Hawkins County state of TN. my
true and lawful attorney for me & in my name to
bargain and sell the tract of land that I the said
Ingram bought of John Gabriel it being lying on
Beech Creek in Hawkins County State of TN.

Now no(know) yea that I do authorize my said attorney
to make a fee, simple & warrant and defend from all
forever such as is common in duty for such sums or
price as he my said attorney may see fit or covenant
and also for me and in my name to see all sums of

money due me to sell execute and deliver such deed
of conveyance but it shall and may be lawful
irrevocable so as if I was personally present and did
the act myself hereby notifying & confirming all such
deed or duty conveyance which shall at any time

hereafter be sealed and executed by my said attorney
touching or concerning the premise above mentioned in
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand affixed
my seal the 20th of April 1818.

Clerk of the Court
County Court in aforesaid county do hereby testify
that James Ingram personally appeared before me to
authorized the contents letter of attorney to Wm.
Miller to be his act and deed for the property therein
established and that the same is duly recorded in my
office. In testimony thereof I have set y hand
affixed the seal of the county court this 20th day of
April 1818. Atteste: Eli. Houston

April 20th 1818 ack. And submitted to land records
Libr. D. Page 270 examined attest Eli Houston Deputy
Clerk Office April 21, 1818 ack. and admitted to
record.
