The 1850 Census images for Hancock County show a
House 144 Family 145
William G. Boyd 66 M farmer born VA
Cynthia E. Boyd 41 F b. KY
Henry C. Boyd 17 M b. KY
Baker(?) Boyd 15 M ( hard to read)b.KY
James S. Newland 33 M b. KY
Same house family 146
Columbia Diggs 25 F b. KY
William B. Diggs 3 M b. KY
James Newlands occupation was shown as None(?).
House 143 Family 144 was the household of Baird Sterett. & family
House 140 was John Sterett 70 & family.
William G. Boyd said born in VA so you will probably need to look there for
his parents.
There were 20 William Boyds in census but this was only William G. Boyd.
