Thanks, Brenda, for the information on Cynthia. In the 1850 Census William
G. and Cynthia are living in Hancock County with sons, Henry C. age 17, and
Baker age 15. In addition, there is living with them a James Newland age 33
(presumably son of Robert Newland and Jane Liggett, whom William G. married
after she was widowed), Columbia Diggs age 25 and her son, William B. Diggs
age 3.
My father's records indicate that Henry Boyd was killed during the Civil War.
I have the pension records of William G. Boyd from the War of 1812.
Thanks for the help,
Candy Sterett
