Ordered that Richard McGill, Henry Peckenpaugh, Peter Pectol and Adam
Bruner, Jr. or any three of them being duly sworn do view and make a road
the nearest and best way from Adam Bruner, Jr. mill to Hardinsburg and make
report thereof agreeably to law. [page 140 Volume III]

On the motion and application of Adam Bruner for leave to open a road from
Hardinsburg to his mill on Dorret's fork of Hardins creek, ordered that
Peter Beghdol, Henry Peckenpaugh, Adam Bruner, Jr. and Richard McGill or any
three of them being duly sworn do view the nearest and best way from
Hardinsburg to said mill and make report thereof according to law.

A view of a road leading from Adam Bruner's saw mill to Hardinsburg was made
and exhibited in court endorsed on the copy of the order appointing the
viewers in form following: According to an order of the Breckinridge county
court to us directed, we the under signed have proceeded to view a road the
nearest and best way from Bruner's saw mill to Hardinsburg and find it as
follows, towit, Beginning at the saw mill thence between Adam Bruner Sr. and
Adam Bruner, Jr., thence through Henry Peckenpaugh's plantation leaving his
house on the left hand, thence to Richard McGill's leaving him to the right
thence to the two-mile tree on the road leading from Hardinsburg to the
mouth of Salt river. Given under our hands this 16th day of February 1818
signed Adam BRUNER, Peter PECTOL, Henry PECKENPAUGH, Richard MCGILL. Sworn
before Nelson Jolly J.P.
Ordered that the same be established a road agreeably to the above report
and that Adam Bruner, Jr. be and is hereby appointed surveyor of the same
and that all the male laboring persons above the age of 16 years be and they
are hereby allotted the said overseer as hands to open said road 15 feet
wide, towit

road the nearest and best way from Wilbert Barlow's mill to Hardinsburg,
made there report as follows towit; the said road will cross Sinking Creek
about 60 yards below said mill, thence through Mr. Huston's land about one
mile thence through Edward Rawling's land about one half mile, thence
through Robert Thomas's land about 30 poles, thence through Peter Pectol's
land about 50 poles and at that place it intersects the road from said
Pectol's mill to Hardinsburg and we report accordingly to our opinion and
believe this to be the proper way for a road from said mill to said town.

Breckinridge County Deed Book A , June 16, 1801 pages 37 and 38
William Kelso, Clerk of the County Court and John Pectol, infant orphan of
Henry Pectol, deceased, to Samuel Stuckey.
In obediance to an order of the County Court ordering County Clerk to bind
said John Pectol apprentice to Samuel Stuckey during his minority to learn
the tanner's trade, to age 21, which will be on April 5, 1807, "to make him
as perfect in the said act or mystery of a Tanner as possible" and to
provide "good and sufficient meat, drink, apparel, washing, lodging and all
other things suitable for an apprentice."
