This is all we have on the BOARD family. Would appreciate corrections
and/or additions.


1. James BOARD Sr. Born in 1738 in Bedford Co, VA. James died in
Breckinridge Co, KY, in 1826; he was 88.

James married Nancy MOORMAN.

They had the following children:
i.John. Born in 1765.
2ii.Jemima (1766-~1809)
iii.James. Born in 1768 in Bedford Co, VA. James died in Bedford Co,
VA, in 1823; he was 55.
On 16 Oct 1793 when James was 25, he married Mary FERGUSON.
iv.Polly. Born in 1770. Polly died in 1823; she was 53.
On 13 Oct 1789 when Polly was 19, she married Nehemiah DOWELL.
v.Nancy. Born in 1772. Nancy died in 1823; she was 51.
On 12 Mar 1792 when Nancy was 20, she married Nathaniel SHREWSBURY.
vi.William. Born on 19 Dec 1775. William died in Sep 1855; he was 79.
On 28 May 1792 when William was 16, he first married Sally MAYSE.
On 27 Oct 1830 when William was 54, he second married Lucy JORDAN.
vii.Elijah. Born on 3 Jun 1779. Elijah died on 20 Sep 1840; he was
61.
On 17 Nov 1812 when Elijah was 33, he married Rebecca PETTYPOOL.
viii.Micajah. Born in 1781.
On 17 Jan 1807 when Micajah was 26, he married Judith ARRINGTON.
ix.Nehemiah. Born in 1783. Nehemiah died in 1839; he was 56.
On 26 Nov 1802 when Nehemiah was 19, he married Mary {Polly}STITH.
x.Richard. Born in 1785. Richard died in 1826; he was 41.
On 24 Dec 1812 when Richard was 27, he first married Lucy LOWRY.
Richard second married Martha Ann COMPTON. Martha Ann died on 22 Mar
1843.
xi.Joel. Born in 1789.
On 7 Aug 1817 when Joel was 28, he married Rebecca ASHBROOK.
xii.Elizabeth {Betty}. Born in 1793.
xiii.Stephen. Born in 1796.
Stephen married Letita VAUGHN.

2. Jemima BOARD (James1). Born in 1766 in Bedford Co, VA. Jemima died
betw 1809 - 1818; she was 43.

On 15 Jan 1784 when Jemima was 18, she married Elijah DOWELL, son of
George DOWELL (1728-Mar 1772) & Margaret UNKNOWN (1741-1808), in
Bedford Co, VA. Born in 1767 in VA. Elijah died in Breckinridge Co, KY,
on 23 Aug 1821; he was 54. Born in 1769 in possibly Bedford County, VA.
Elijah died in Breckinridge County, KY, on 23 Aug 1821; he was 54.

They had the following children:
i.Nehemiah. Born in 1786.
3ii.George Washington (1788-1842)
4iii.James Board (1791-1860)
iv.John. Born in 1793 in Bedford Co, VA.
v.Elizabeth. Born in 1795 in Bedford Co, VA.
On 12 Jun 1821 when Elizabeth was 26, she married Samuel JORDAN.
vi.Nancy. Born in 1797. Born in 1795 in Bedford Co, VA.
On 8 Dec 1808 when Nancy was 11, she married Robert HALL.
vii.Jane. Born in 1799 in Bedford Co, VA.
Jane married Nehemiah DOWELL.
viii.Elijah Jr. Born on 12 Jun 1800 in Bedford Co, VA. Elijah Jr.
died on 28 May 1885; he was 84. Buried in Colony Cem, Knox Co., MO. Was
on the census for Breckinridge Co, KY, in 1870.
On 27 May 1823 when Elijah Jr. was 22, he married Mary HAYDEN,
daughter of Daniel HAYDEN (22 Jun 1780-9 Feb 1873) & Hannah SHACKLETT
(2 Nov 1782-), in Hardin, KY. Born on 4 Aug 1803 in Fayette County, PA.
Mary died on 6 Apr 1891; she was 87. Buried in Colony Cem, Knox Co.,
MO.
ix.Polly. Born in 1803 in Breckinridge Co, KY. Born in 1808.
On 20 Apr 1818 when Polly was 15, she married Joseph BEWLEY.
x.Joel. Born in 1805 in Bedford Co, VA. Joel died in 1880; he was 75.
On 28 Jul 1827 when Joel was 22, he married Ann RAWLINS.
xi.Harrison. Born in 1807.
xii.Dandridge. Born in 1809 in Bedford Co, VA.
