Still looking for information on Gus, Augustus, or Augustine Frank and Rhoda
Harrell or Harrel and their son JOHN W FRANK..
1850 census Breckinridge county Kentucky
AUGUSTUS FRANK 19, living with a NANCY FRANK 40. I have a will by Elizabeth
Frank that lists a Nancy that is to be provided for and JOSIAH SPENCER will
oversee this. In 1850 Josiah Spencer wife Mahala and children were living
next to Augustus Frank and Nancy Frank.
1860 census Breckinridge county, Kentucky
Lists an AUGUSTINE 29, M farmer Ky. With RHODA 24.
Found on a web page a RHODA E. HARRELL born 1837 Ky daughter of DANIEL
HARRELL and MARGARET DAVIS married GUS FRANK born about 1836 KY. Married
about 1857 had one son JOHN W FRANK b. about 1860 Ky.
1870 Census Grayson County, Kentucky lists HARREL, DANIEL age 60 wife POLLY
age 55, FRANK, R. E. Age 32 f. Is this Rhoda E who is listed in the 1860
census above? and J.W. FRANK age 9. So he was born about 1860.
1880 census has the following:
1880 Federal Census, Leitchfield, Grayson Co., KY
Harrell, Daniel, head, 70 KY VA KY farmer
Harrell, Polly, wife, 66 KY KY VA
Kiper, Mary, daughter, single, 42 KY
Frank, John W., grandson, 19 KY KY KY
Can anyone add any data on this? It seems like Augustus, Augustine, and Gus,
are the same person. Did Gus die or were he and Rhoda divorced.
It looks like Harrell and Harrel may be same person. Margaret Davis Harrel
must have died before 1870 as a Polly is listed as Daniel`s wife.
I notice that Rhoda is not listed in the 1880 census but her son is listed
as the grandson.
