I am trying to trace a Hugh Johnson on the 1850 census. Are there wills or
deeds available after 1850? I am trying to find out if he sold his
property, left it to someone in a will, did the estate go to probate or
could he have deeded it to someone in the family. I hope that I might find
out what happened to him. In addition, in the 1840 census, Hugh had a
daughter in his household, but she is not there on the 1850 census. Are
there marriage license between 1840 and 1850 that shows any female Johnson
that marries? Please let me know if records are available. Thank you so
