Hi Debbie
I have five volumes of records regarding Breckinridge County, Kentucky
by Michael L. Cook and Bettie A. Cook
they are the early records of the county.
There does not appear to be a will
He was not shown in the guardian bond books either
One of the volumes covers deeds from 1810-1821 he was not shown at this
time
this volume also covers the time from of 1800 to 1816 Commissioners Deeds
he is not shown
I looked through them and found the records below

[Marriage Records 1800-1857, compiled from existing copies from the first

by fire when the courthouse burned ]

I did not find Hugh or Elizabeth in the Cemetery Book
My guess is that you are looking for the older Hugh Johnson
The younger Hugh G. Johnson is still in Breckinridge in 1870 with Sarah E
and seven children
I would contact the Breckinridge County Courthouse Archives.
Hugh may not have left a will but he may have owned land and my books do not
cover 1850 deeds
They do great work
