Thank you so much for the info!!!!! I do feel that this Mary who married
Isaac Whitworth warrants investigation. I feel that the Mary Johnson in the
1860 census ties Mary Whitworth to Hugh Johnson in the 1850 census.
I traced Isaac and Mary Whitworth and they are still alive and living
together through the 1900 census. They are in their 70's in 1900, but I do
not see them in the 1910 census. Also, on the 1900 census, Mary states she
has never had children. Would it be possible to check the cemetery records
for Isaac and Mary Whitworth? Would it be possible to check the cemetery
records for Mary Johnson who was still alive at the time of the 1860 census?
Thank you so much for your help!!!
On the 1850 census, living with Hugh Johnson is a George and Mary Johnson.
George is a son of Hugh Johnson. George and Mary leave Kentucky. They are
in Illinois in 1880 and then move to Ripley County Missouri. George and
Mary are both buried in Missouri.
Two other of Hugh's children leave Kentucky to go to Ripley County Missouri.
They are Elizabeth who marries Ephriam Stone and Nancy who marries David
Shawler.
