Hi Debbie,
We are having a "genealogy" lady coming today, so will be on the
computer,
but I will respond this morning to let you know I received your e-mail.
That is
much better than going thru the Breckenridge Co. connection. First of
all, I
think it would be easier, if I know more of what you know about this
area.
When did your relatives go to Springfield, Mo.? Have you ever been to
Hardin
County, Ky. I live in Elizabethtown, which is in Hardin Co...birth
county of most
of my relatives. Breckenridge is adjoining county, county seat is
Hardinsburg,
where the Archives is located. Charles C. (born ca, 1832 Grayson
County
(joins Hardin Co.) & Emizetta Watkins, born ca. 1839--died June 13,
1881, MARRIED
James. C. October 5, 1857, in Grayson County, Ky.
Do you have James Charles Miller Civil War Military records? Discharged

October 13 or 16, 1862. Do you know Howard D. Miller, 1218 Bellaire
Dr., Andrews,
Texas 79714-3837. tel. 915-523-5874? I do not know how old address &
telephone are. His name is on bottom of some of the war record
correspondance I
have, assuming he is the one who acquired it from the War Department. If
you have
his records, no point in me sending you duplicate material. It seems
the
Millers migrated west. Some records of marriage in Ripley County, Mo.
What is
your county, or how close it that to you?
You asked about the children after the marriage of James & Rhoda. One
statement is that they were with their sister. It seems there were 4
younger, under
age 16, applied for pension benefits from their deceased father. Rhoda
also
applied for government benefits. Do you have his childrens names & ages?

James died April 14, 1884, one year after married Rhoda Feb. 26, 1883.
I don't have unlimited minutes, cross country cell phone use. If you do
&
want to call sometime, we'll set a day that we'll be home & chat with
you. We've
been thru Springfield, going to Branson & eating at Lamberts Restaurant.
Our
youngest of 3 children, lives in Ashland, just north of Jefferson City.
He
works for Gates Rubber Co. Anna Marie
