Therese, I have hit a brick wall with my grgrgrgrandfather John F. Matthews. was born In Kentucky some papers say in Breckinridge Co. in 1809/1811 and went to Illinois, where he married my grgrgrgrandmother Marsalet Rebecca Butler in 1837 in Sangamon Co. then went to Iowa in 1840 and died in western Iowa in 1880. I am grasping at straws trying to find anuthing about Matthews that went to Illinois. Thanks Matt
