Okay . . . . . This is what I have found out.

You had Peter's last name listed as Bechtol. When I looked up his name in the "Marriage Records - Breckinridge County, Kentucky - 1800-1857", there was no Bechtol but there was a BeGhtol. Next to the last name it also said to look at PECTOL. There was no Peter under BEGHTOL but there was under PECTOL. I found him to have married a Catherine Bruner on February 23, 1804 and then again with a marriage to Miss Polly Bruner on October 12, 1816. I believe that this is your Peter.

I also looked for anything on an Indian kidnapping. Finally, with the help of the wonder women in the archives, I found an article on a "Mrs. John Bruner" who was taken by some Indians and a cheif took her as his wife. She became the mother of a child by him. I did not see any dates on the article but the article was named "Who Was Who in Hardin County by Hardin County Historical Society". I have a copy of the article that I can scan and send to you if you want.
