Dear Theresa: I sent your question to a descendant of Henley Burch. He does not post on the message boards. His name is Wayne Meador. If you desire to contact him directly, I can provide his electronic mail address and you should write me for it at my electronic mail address. Here is what Wayne had to say concerning your queries:
'I am quite positive that George Day was a son of Henley Burch's wife's sister. Henley's wife was Nancy Matthews. Her sister was Frances Matthews and Frances married Robert Brooks Day. The Days in the 1850 era lived across Rough Creek from Breckinridge County in Grayson County, Kentucky. There are Days who continue to live in this vicinity. Nancy and Frances Matthews were sisters of my great, great grandmother, Elizabeth (Matthews) Overton. They were the children of George and Elizabeth (Moore) Matthews. Henley and Nancy raised five girls and no boys. The Mason boys were orphans of one of the Tar Creek (Breckinridge County, Kentucky) Masons ... Henderson Mason, I think. Hope this helps.'
What is your interest in this family?
Regards,
Francis Keenan
