I'm not sure Ada Jones Meador married Alex D. McCans. The marriage might have been between Ada Jones Meador's daughter Ada Meador and Mc Cans. My reason for thinking such is that I recently acquired a death certificate for Ada Jones Meador that shows she had retained the Meador surname instead of McCans. If she had been the widow of Alex D. McCans, her last name would have been McCans on the death certificate, unless they had divorced. More research needs to be done to see if there is a marriage license for John Carr and Ada Meador McCans that shows a second marriage for her.

Death info on Ada Jones Meador's death certificate shows her death date as 10/27/ 1939. Her parents were Alex W. Jones and Catherine Board. Her daughter Ada Carr of 1920 Duker Ave, Louisville, gave the report. The burial was 10/30/39 at Big Spring.

I'd appreciate someone's checking the local paper for the time and finding the obituary and articles about her. Maybe there'd be references to her former husband.
