Daniel,
I haven't worked on my Kinnison Family for a long time. I do have a lot of information, but some of it isn't as up to date as it could be. Your Christopher C. D. Kinnison is a brother to my 3rd great grandmother, Elizabeth Kinnison, the 1st of 2 wives of my 3rd great grandfather, William W. Sipes who lived in Breckinridge County. Christopher and Elizabeth are the children of James Kinnison and LeeAnn. I was told that LeeAnn was a Shrewsberry/Shrewsbury, but I have not been able to prove this. I have been able to find 9 children for James and LeeAnn Kinnison. My Elizabeth is their oldest child, and your Christopher is their 8th child. Lydia Frances Royalty is the daughter of James Royalty and Priscilla Gaither.
Christopher C. D. Kinnison
born Feb 1848 Breckinridge County, Ky
died 13 June 1913 Breckinridge County, Ky at age 65
married on 27 Feb 1878 Breckinridge County, Ky
married to Lydia Frances Royalty
born 16 June 1861 Breckinridge County, Ky
died 20 Sept 1934 Jefferson County, Ky at age 73
Lydia has a single tombstone at the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery which is near Garfield, Breckinridge County, Ky. I have a picture of her tombstone, and it is engraved "Frances Kinnison". There is no tombstone located on one side of hers, so Christopher may be buried next to her without a tombstone. I have not been able to find a tombstone for Christopher anywhere in Breckinridge County.
I have found 7 children for Christopher and Lydia Frances Royalty Kinnison:
1- LeeAnn Kinnison who married 3 times
#1 to Jesse E. Tucker, divorsed, one son
#2 to John David Allgood, widowed, one son
#3 to William Allgood (brother to John David Allgood), one daughter. I have complete info on her family. LeeAnn is buried near her mother at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a single tombstone.
2- Priscilla Kinnison who married George Jackson Collard, and they are also buried at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a double tombstone. 3 children.
3- Mary Isabelle "Belle" Kinnison married James Etheridge Bruner. 5 children. James Bruner was married 4 times, and Belle was his 3rd wife. I have Belle's death certificate, and she is listed as buried at the Old Flat Rock Cemetery. I presume it is in Jefferson County as they were living there at Rural Route Anchorage, Ky. when Belle died (Boston Voting Precinct). James Bruner's 4th wife was widow Della Allgood Cundiff, sister to John David Allgood and William Allgood listed above.
4- James R. Kinnison married Sarah Ellen Blair, daughter of Irvin and Luella/Louella Blair. (I don't have Louella's maiden name). 4 children. James and Sarah married on 22 January 1908 at Sarah's father and mothers' home in Breckinridge County. Found in Book 29, Page 70 Breckinridge County marriage records. I have 4 children for them. 1- Their oldest child, a daughter named Linnie L. Kinnison, born 4 Jan 1909 and died 26 Jan 1910 and has a single tombstone at the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 2- Lillian L. Kinnison born Feb 1910 married Mr. Cline. 3- Rufus A. Kinnison born 25 Sept 1912 Breckinridge County and died 28 July 1992 in Louisville, Ky. Buried 30 July 1992 at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Louisville. I have the obituaries for Rufus and his wife Thelma Fern Lockwood. 4- Elizabeth Kinnison born 16 Feb 1914 Breckinridge County. I think Elizabeth married a Higdon. I found an obituary in 1967 for a little 2 month old James Wayne Hig!
don, the son of James Louis Higdon and Elizabeth Kinnerson of Hardinsburg, Breckinridge County. I will need your confirmation on them.
5- Silvia Kinnison married twice.
#1 to Samuel Dowell, widowed, one son
#2 to James Ode Robbins, believe no children.
Silvia died at age 29 on 28 April 1920 in Breckinridge County, and buried at the Basham Cemetery in Breckinridge County. No tombstone.
6- Ersie Kinnison (daughter)
born 23 Aug 1895
died 22 June 1896
buried at the Dennis Cemetery in Breckinridge County with a single tombstone.
7- Jonas A. Kinnison married Eliza A. Dowell. 3 children. Jonas and Eliza are buried at the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a double tombstone.
I do have a lot more information on Christopher's family, and Christopher's brothers and sisters and their families. What I am giving you now is just a brief outline. Please feel free to e-mail me anytime. I do have 26 years of research to share with you. I have a picture an Allgood cousin of mine sent to me a long time ago of your Christopher and Lydia Francis Royalty Kinnison. I will be happy to scan it to you. I also have tombstone pictures I took back in 1989 at the Freedom Church Cemetery.
