Daniel finished his duty with Capt. Kennedy's Co. of the 7th Continental Line of PA in Jan. 1781. In April of 1781, he and his grandfather, Major John Hardin, applied for land in what is now Breckinridge Co., KY. His grandfather was killed by Indians in late 1780's. I can't recall just when Daniel and Alice Jolly married. I will have to look that up. I believe that it was in early 1790's. His uncle, Wm. Hardin, founded Hardinsburg, which is the county seat of Breckinridge Co.
