I should have added that the census I mentioned was enumerated on January 28 and 29, 1920. And also, more importantly for you, Thomas Mattingly was listed as a "son-in-law" and Veva as "daughter." This information is strong evidence that Arpe and Cornelia (?) Whoberry (et. al.) were the parents of Veva.
