Thanks for the information on the origin of the 'Sheron/Shearan' family. I had been wondering if it was an English or Irish name, but I was pretty sure it was not Scots.

So many of the names of early immigrants did change over the years - especially the GERMAN ones. In my husband's line he is related to the VonWeidenmeiers of Germany, but here in the U.S. the name became Whitmire!!
