An uncle married a lady from Irvington named Mary Hughes, probably in the mid-to-late 1940's. His name was Phelix (or just P.H.) Demmings. I'm not sure if he married her there or in Owensboro. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Also-his daughter is buried there, but her death certificate doesn't say where. Are there graveyards that catered to Blacks only in 1947? The daughters' name was Mary Clara Demming(s). Again, thank for any help....
