Danna, Sorry you've had such health problems, hopefully you'll be better
soon. I'm looking for the burial place of my ancestor, Charles Beard and
his first wife, Margaret Dent Beard, also for the burial place of Margaret's
(Patsy) Dent's parents, William Dent and his wife Elizabeth?

Thanks and keep recuperating!
Frances Johnson

Hey there list...

I know it's been a while since I've done an major work on the Breck. Co.
GenWeb site, and I apologize. Between the death of my grandmother and a few
other family situations, I've been battling the flu bug for going on 3 1/2
months and some unexpected health situations. Hopefully here in the next
couple of weeks I'll feel more like doing work and adding to the site... so
just bear with me a little longer.

As you guys know (or if you don't, you will in a second), my passion is
cemetery restoration and preservation. It's why I go into the cemeteries,
big and small, and photograph them, as one day they may not be there or the
markers legible enough to read. With that in mind, I've been mentally
working on a cemetery list for when I go on vacation this year. I'm looking
on going in May some time and wanted your all's input on something. I have
a couple that are going to need a little bit more work and will be
completed. I have some mental ideas and ideas from cousins... but also want
ideas from you all on the cemeteries.

If you were able to be in Breckinridge County to visit a cemetery with your
ancestors, which one or ones would you try the hardest to get to? I want to
try and get to cemeteries that are going to help researchers the most in
their search, yet I don't want to forget the little cemeteries as the next
time I go down they may be unattainable. I'll be completely honest in
saying that I don't know a whole lot about the very northern part of Breck.
Co., the portion from Hardinsburg westward to the county line, or the very
southwestern part of the county... so unfortunately I may not be able to get
to them as quickly as I would like. I'm very familiar, for the most part,
with the central, eastern, and south eastern parts of the county. I still
have family living in those areas, so if I get lost... it's not hard to stop
by their house and say "help... I'm lost" (which I have done in the past).

I really do value your all's thoughts, ideas, and opinions... so I would
like to hear from you all. If you want to post to the list so that there
will be a "permanent" copy in the mailing list Archives of a cemetery's
name/location, that would be great. If you would rather email me
personally, that's fine too. Just so long as I get some input in there, I
would most especially grateful. The Archives site is to help you all, so I
want to do what I can while I'm there.

Y'all have a great one and try to stay warm (in the snowy areas of the
nation).
Happy Hunting!
