Wow Peggy! Thank you very much! Land for Macedonia Baptist Church was donated by the Burton family we were told when we were there and I don't know at this time which one. And as we were there grieving a friend, visiting his church & not 'doing' genealogy I did not check the cemetery. Later I discovered our friend was actually relation.

My husband descends from George B. Burton/Sarah Latham to Edward D. to George W., etc. I have wondered for quite some time who the other George B. Burton was there & had seen his family on census but haven't discovered a connection between the lines. I found it coincedental though that both Edward D. Burton and V.B. were involved in law enforcement (Edward listed as a "constable" on a census). I am also not surprised that V.B. was buried in a Taul cemetery as the "bucker" he was having listed a Sam Taul as chief cook and bottlewasher. Maybe a "bucker" was some kind of dinner.

I really appreciate all your help Peggy and now I am off to the Library here to seek more info.

Deb
