Hi all....

Wanted to let you all know that the new cemetery pages are up and online. Thanks to Karen Schafer and Fay Minter, not to mention those on the Breck. Co. Cemetery Board and all the "Angels" that helped out, the listing off all presently known cemeteries has been typed up and placed online. This is just the names of the cemeteries, and in several cases the "old names" that the cemeteries were once known as. These early cemetery names can be of great asset if obtaining an obituary or death certificate with a cemetery name that is not presently being used. Over time, more cemeteries will be added, as well as more "old name". I have the table and wording set up for when I get the page complete for the old names, so don't worry if you can't find that particular page right now. I'll let you all know when it's up and accessible.

There are also some "duplications" of names, or so it seems. Mrs. Schafer and I are going to talk on the phone tomorrow and discuss the questions I had regarding the various "colored" regional cemetery lists. I typed up an alphabetically one so I could begin using it for the website and sent them a copy for them to use as a "master" as well as being color coded so they would know what "colored regional district" they'd been found in. Hopefully soon I can get those regional districts typed up and onsite incase someone is looking for a cemetery within a given area around where their ancestors lived. It's a lot of work, but it's slowly getting done so as to help you all out as much as possible.

I am taking a vacation day tomorrow and spending all day getting things as much as possible completed. My plans are to get several more cemeteries on the Cemetery Photographic Transcription portion, as well as get more pictures added to a couple of cemeteries.

The transcribers are taking some time for themselves for a bit before resuming transcribing the WWI Draft Registration Cards. The remainder of the "H's", "S's", and "W's" are what's left, in addition to all of the letters "L", "R", and "T". Once the transcriptions are put online, I'll be sure to let you all know.

One last thing, if in looking at the cemetery pages you see where you have a picture or two that corresponds with a name or names, we would love to have you submit it. One by one, little by little, the tombstone pictures can be added.... it doesn't have to be the whole cemetery. I always photographed the entire cemetery because I was there and needed to "knock it out" before I could move on to another one. So any little thing you might have to offer for the site would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Hunting!
