Samuel Allen - Deed Book D, Page 183 & 184

P. 183. David Allen & Polly, his wife, of Perry County, Indiana nominates and appoints Joseph Allen, Esq. of Breckinridge Co., KY their true and lawful attorney in fact. Whereas Samuel Allen, Dec'd., the grandfather of said David Allen, died having claim to 290 or 300 acres in Hampshire Co., VA on south branch of the Potomac River near a place called the Trought. And William Allen, dec'd., the father of said David Allen, being the eldest son and only legal heir to said Samuel Allen, dec'd., and he having died intestate, leaving David Allen, William Allen, Samuel Allen & Lydia Kimbal, late Lydia Allen his only children, his heirs and legal representatives. Dated 17Sep1817. Certified and recorded 17 Sep 1817.
P. 184. Harrison Kimball & Lydia Kimball, his wifw, of Grayson Co., KY nominate and appoint Joseph Allen their true and lawful attorney in fact. Whereas Samuel Allen, Dec'd., the grandfather of said Lydia Kimball late Lydia Allen, died having claim to 290 or 300 acres in Hampshire Co., VA on south branch of the Potomac River near a place called the Trought. And William Allen, dec'd., the father of said Lydia Kimball, being the eldest son and only legal heir to said Samuel Allen, dec'd., and he having died intestate, leaving David Allen, William Allen, Samuel Allen & Lydia Allen now Lydia Kimball, his only children, his heirs and legal representatives. Dated 1 Oct 1817. Certified and recorded 1 Oct 1817.
