Daisy Hellien Browning
MARION - Daisy Hellien Browning, 98, of Marion passed away at 2:05 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion.
Private graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2004, at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Blue Funeral Home in Marion was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Browning was born on Oct. 14, 1905 in Hardinsburg, Ky. to William Alfred and Mamie (Pate) Hawkins. She married Paul Browning in 1936 in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Calvin Baker of Marion, and Shirley and Mick Riley of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Tim and Tracy Baker, Tina and Vic Pease, Rick and Tracie Blades and Darrin and Dana Blades; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother.
Mrs. Browning was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a member of the American Nurses Association. She loved her cats and her flowers.
