Hi all....

I got in cemetery transcriptions from Mrs. Schafer and the Archives in Hardinsburg day before yesterday and have been busy typing them up. The only thing left is to get actual pictures to go with the transcriptions, which hopefully will come soon. A co-worker said while she and her family were camping at Rough River with her family, she would photograph what she could while down there for me. I'm doing a "chocolate fudge for pictures" exchange with her since she wouldn't let me pay her for her time. She didn't know the names of the cemeteries, only that there were "tons of little cemeteries all over" as they drove down. Within the next three weeks, look for those to hopefully be coming in and going online.

Here are the cemeteries transcribed and on the cemetery index pages so far:

Allen Family Cemetery #1
Chalkie Cemetery
Fentress-Davis Cemetery
Fisher Cemetery
Gray Cemetery #1
Huckeby Cemetery
Perrin-Poole Cemetery
P-pool Cemetery
Poole Cemetery #2
Pool/Payne Cemetery

Hopefully this will help you guys in your search for family! I'll have more that I'll be adding tonight.

AND.... does anyone on the list have a really good photo program and would be interested in transcribing about 5 or 6 pages of early Freedom Cumberland Presb. Church records? These are records I had been sent early on in my personal research (I connect up to Dudley Haynes and Polly Hardin Haynes) from a distant cousin, and I just "found them" on my hard drive the other night. They are difficult to read, if next to impossible, but I didn't know if someone had a really good photo program in which they could open the documents in it and transcribe those pages of mid to - late 1800's records. Just let me know!

Happy Hunting!
