Dr. Charles R. Cannon 1936-2007
Dr. Charles R. Cannon, age 71 of Plantation, Florida, formerly of Breckinridge County, died Tuesday, October 23, in Florida. He was born in Louisville on July 31, 1936, the son of Claude and Margaret Bowlds Cannon. He was the first chiropractor in Plantation, Florida and opened his office in 1964. He was a graduate of Breckinridge County High School and was one of the five runners of the cross country state championship team of 1953.

Dr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons: Dr. Charles R. Cannon Jr. and John Cannon; three daughters: Monica Wackes, Claudia White and Diane Cannon, all of Florida; one sister, Mary Lee Vittitoe of Louisville; his stepmother, Laura Boutwell of Florida; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 27, at Alexander Funeral Home. Burial was in Sand Knob Cemetery, in Breckinridge County. Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
