Interesting. I have pretty fair information re my direct line and am just starting to flesh out families a bit. Right now it's William's turn. Piles/Pyles come through Maryland (Dr. Richard Pile is first in America). The William I am chasing found his way into the Shepherdstown (VA at the time) area by 1775 and served in Revolution. Married one Lucretia Keyes (of Keyes Ferry, wh is near Shepherdstown).

He shows up in Breckinridge Co, KY area and presumably acquires his bounty land, raises family, and finally dies there. I have seen mention of a will, but have not yet found it (Wm has been used for DAR but have JUST requested record copy to see if it and grave are referenced).

I'll see if I can sort you out. You're about 2 generations separated from MY information :-) However, both first name uses and the location make a relationship... at least in need of a serious look.
