Somehow, I missed this message of 26 Jan 1999 from Penny, a descendant of the clerk of the Court of Breckinridge Co., KY was born about 1775 in Hampshire Co., VA [This is now WV - JGW]. My Samuel Allen came to Breckinridge Co. very early. His grand daughter Lydia Allen married Harmonious Kimble (of Hampshire Co., VA) in Breckinridge Co. 21 Jul 1800. Her father was William Allen. Sometime before 01 Oct 1817, Samuel Allen & son William Allen had died in Breckinridge Co. Lydia was born about 1777. My question is are Joseph Allen (the County court Clerk) and Lydia probable cousins?
